Memorial Day!

Having a fire pit in the backyard can be great some days! We cooked Hobo Dinners, banana boats and brownies in oranges over the fire for Memorial Day. Dad was home early and we wanted to do something fun. Besides the fact that we burnt the brownies and they were very gross, everything else turned out delicious!
Fun times!! Bring on Summer Vacation!

Disneyland with Mechams and Hankins!!

For Christmas we got a trip to DISNEYLAND! But...we had to wait until May to travel. We invited some friends this time! The Mechams and Hankins joined us which made for a very fun trip. Quincy and Brinley thought their dreams had come true to be in Disneyland with Kira and Kate! We spent 5 wonderful days in Disneyland, went on a Whale Watching tour where we saw tons of Dolphin, and spent the afternoon on the Beach. We stayed at our favorite condo's across the street from Disneyland, and walked into the park every day. The weather cooperated for the most part and the lines weren't  too bad. It's amazing to me that our crazy family can go on as many Disney Vacations as we have and still feel like we truly are at the "happiest place on earth". We just LOVE it! I'm pretty sure Chris has infused our children with this unique gene of his!! He is a kid at heart.
Great Vacation with great friends!!

Disney nails!

With 4 girls in this house we own a LOT of fingernail polish and painting fingernails is something that happens very often. They don't just paint their fingernails though, they do "art" on their fingernails!!
With an upcoming trip to Disneyland, we had to get our nails ready!! We have "The Little Mermaid", "Mickey", "Minnie", and "Monsters Inc." Now that the nails are done, we are ready to go!!!
Very creative girls!

We have a yard again!!

The addition to the house made a mess of our back yard! When spring came we were super anxious to get working on it and have grass again. It took a few Family Home Evenings to level dirt and pick up rocks, and lots of work by Dad to put sprinklers back in place...old and new! After a month or two of hard work we had a complete yard again. Who knew how happy a little grass can make a person! The most important thing though, was that the Volleyball court was back!

Kylee is going to Dental Hygiene School!!!!

I don't know how we got so lucky to get such amazing kids, but somehow we did!  Kylee has been working for Dr. Murdock this past year while waiting to apply to the Dental Hygiene program.  She applied for the programs at Weber State and UVU.  These are TOUGH programs to get into.  She had to fill our applications, take a test, answer scary essay questions and have a personal interview.  Then the waiting games began.  The applicants were notified by mail and told an estimated time that their letter should arrive.  The mail has never been so exciting at our house before!! She nervously checked daily for a couple weeks before the first letter arrived!  It was from Weber State.  She was shaking as she opened it up!  And...she was accepted!!!  One of 30 in over 150 applicants.  We were so so excited!!  But...she still wanted to see what UVU said so that she could weigh her options and then make a decision.  A week later she got the results from them.  And....she got into their program too! She once again was one of only 14 accepted! That's amazing!!

Now the really hard part, she had another one of those darn life altering decisions to make.  These are her favorite...not!!!  I was so proud of her.  She did a lot of searching out information about both programs, housing, costs, etc. But more importantly she took her decision to Heavenly Father.  She prayed a lot and spent a day fasting to know what He would have her do.  At the end of the day as she concluded her fast, she had her answer.  She knew that she was supposed to stay living at home and accept her spot into the Weber State University Dental Hygiene Program. Needless to say, we were all thrilled with her decision.  We wanted her to go wherever she was supposed to go, but I think we were all secretly hoping it would be Weber State.  We are so happy to get her here with us a little longer.  She is so excited to get going in August.  I know this will be a great experience for her.  One she has definitely earned!

CONGRATULATIONS KYLEE!!

Clogging for Quincy and Brinley!

Quincy and Brinley started clogging this year. It has been so fun to watch them learn and get better. They have both caught on so quickly and are doing really well. They competed with their clogging team in 2 competitions this year and got a 1st place marking in both. They love it and plan to keep taking lessons. Good job girls!!
