Gingerbread Houses

We had such a busy Holiday season that we had to do Gingerbread Houses AFTER Christmas this year! But at least we still got it in!
The kids love this tradition, but they were not very cooperative when it came to the picture taking at the end...as you can see! This was the best I could get!! Kade built a mansion graham cracker house, but chose not to decorate it and of course was not going to pose for any picture taking!
Maybe they will cooperate better next year! Sillies!!

Dad's Christmas Steak!

The managers at Dad's work draw names and give each other gifts at Christmas time. They know Dad well! They gave him the gift of huge raw steaks!! He was in heaven. Two days after Christmas he cooked them up for dinner and was nice enough to share with all of us. I have to admit, they were delicious!

Christmas Afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma's!

A Christmas Tradition that I hope goes on forever!!
Christmas might not be Christmas without Christmas Breakfast at Grandpa and Grandma's house, followed by presents to and from them. We've done it as long as all of our kids have been alive!
So fun to see what everyone got and spend the afternoon together. The best picture we got today was Grandma Wyatt's face as she was holding up the sign we made for her to hang on her wall above all of the pictures of her grandchildren. Priceless!!

Christmas Morning

What an exciting Christmas Morning! We had a surprise for the kids and I could hardly wait. I felt like a kid myself! As usual, the kids opened their one present from Santa Clause and then opened the rest of the presents under the tree. Their gifts to each other are always awesome. Kade made sure Brinley's was wrapped with multiple layers of Duct tape so that it would take a while to get into!
Our surprise was last! There was a pile of presents for them to unwrap at the same time. First they each unwrapped a "snack", then an envelope with some spending money for each of them. At this point they were on to the fact that we were taking them somewhere. That's not hard to guess at Christmas time for our family! Then they unwrapped a ticket to "Harry Potter World" in California, and lastly they each unwrapped a plane ticket!!!
We always drive to California, so they were pretty excited to see the plane tickets. After looking them over, they realized that we were leaving in 4 days! That was a great surprise too. Sometimes our Christmas trips come in June or July!!
What a fun morning!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Christmas Eve!

We had the funnest Christmas Eve Party!
We partied with family with "minute to win it" games, bingo and lots of yummy food!
The favorite was the "poop the potato" game! Kynlee was really good at it.
Such a fun night!
