Purple and White Dance for Emilee!

Emilee got asked to the "Purple & White" Dance by Lawson Forsberg.  He is a CUTE boy in our ward.  We shopped for the perfect dress and Kylee and Emilee spent the whole day making sure Em looked like a beauty queen.  These 2 girls are best friends...and I am so grateful.  They do most everything together and they help each other with whatever the other needs.  Kylee did Emilee's hair while Em did her nails.  The result was stunning.  She looked beautiful!
When Lawson came to pick her up we had a wee bit of trouble with his boutonniere.  Both Kylee and I tried to pin it on him after Em didn't have much luck.  I thought he was going to die of embarrassment before we got them out of the door!  Good thing he knows us all well.  They were a cute couple and had a great time at the dance.

Quincy's bird!

Quincy got chosen to go to the Brigham City Bird Refuge and transpose a picture that she drew of a bird onto a large piece of paper that will hang on the streets of down town Brigham City! She's a good little artist!  I don't know where our children get this talent from, but I think she is our 4th child to get chosen to do this!!  Excited to drive down main street in Brigham and see her artwork hanging up!

Chris & Kade build us a table!

These are my awesome boys building us a new family kitchen table.  This was a new type of a project that they haden't tried before. They kreg jigged all of the top boards together to make a table top and then connected the legs and skirting. They did awesome and it turned out beautiful.  It now sits in our house and we love and use it daily!!  Good job boys!!

Movie Nights!

A year after getting our projector and screen, we finally got a soundbar to go with it...so we are now ready for Movie Night OUTSIDE!!
The kids have been pretty excited to try this out.  We just have to make sure there is no chance of rain.  We got all set up on night (which is quite a process) and then just as we got the movie started it began to rain.  We had to clean up and postpone our movie.
Fun times!!

Quincy's 11th Birthday!

I don't know why I can't find pictures of Quincy Lou's Birthday, but they seem to be missing!  What I do know is that we celebrated and she turned a whole year older!  How is she already 11?  One more year and she will be in Young Women's!!

We had a family dinner to celebrate and Quincy got new clothes and money for her birthday.  Quincy is such a sweet girl.  She is an awesome big sister to Brinley and such a fun little sister to Kade, Em and Kylee.  Quincy is funny!!  Her cute sense of humor is popping out and we all laugh at the funny things she comes up with.  She is becoming a wonderful piano player, even though her dream in life is to quit piano!  She is also becoming quite the little actress.  She has been in a couple plays and absolutely loves to perform on stage.  She isn't scared a bit!

We are so grateful that 11 years ago she came into our family.
Happy Happy Birthday Quincy!
We love you!

Easter!

Easter party with cousins at our house this year!  We colored eggs outside and had an Easter egg hunt.  Looks like the Easter Bunny left some cool flip flops again this year!
We are lucky to have cousins that live close enough to party with often. :)

Snorkeling anyone?

Since we are headed to Hawaii in June we took Quincy and Brinley to the Nat to swim and practice using their snorkel gear.  We were most worried about Brinley because she is the youngest and we didn't know how she would do.  She is a fish!  She was a natural.  She figured out the breathing so quick and loved it.  We are so excited to get her into the ocean in Hawaii where she might see a little more exciting things in  the water than the bottom of the swimming pool!

This is what Brinley had to say about her experience...
"I thought that it would be really hard at first, then when I got in and tried it was actually pretty easy. It was super fun and I had a great time. When we got ready to go snorkeling in Hawaii I thought it would be scary to have fish in my face!"

Emilee's Club Volleyball Season

This year Emilee joined a club team in Logan.  It was a new experience for her and I was proud of how hard she worked and how brave she was to go and find a team to join without knowing anyone.  She started the season feeling very alone and ended the season with a whole group of new friends.  It ended up being a really great experience for her.  She got to practice setting a lot and got tons of playing time.  We attended a tournament in Idaho one Saturday and Grandpa and Grandma Southwick were able to come watch the games with us.
You are awesome Em and can accomplish anything you put your mind to!  Always have been able to...and always will!

Brinley's Chinese!

Brinley got to sing several songs in Chinese for the School Board at a District Meeting.  They did a great job!  So fun to see how they are progressing year after year.  They are impressive!
Keep up the good work Brinners!!
